BREEZY POINT, NY – Three months ago, Barbara had seemingly lost it all. In mid-November, her Breezy Point home was flooded by Hurricane Sandy, leaving the 78-year-old feeling overwhelmed as to how she would ever rebuild.
“I could just cry, I don’t know what I’m going to do,” she told local news.
But this past Saturday, Operation Blessing–along with more than 100 Bank of America volunteers–gave Barbara the surprise of a lifetime: a rebuilt home complete with new drywall, floors, paint, appliances and furniture.

The cancer survivor had been living in a basement apartment in Brooklyn ever since Sandy hit and was overwhelmed by her new home and the kindness of strangers.
“It’s just overwhelming with kindness and generosity, and I just can’t believe that they’re doing this for me,” Barbara told local news.
I am so speechless for all you do in people lives. God is seeing your good work and He is Blessing you Richly. I love you all, CBN, OB and All the Wonderful volunteers. God Bless.
